Sol was founded in 1992

SOL represents solidarity, brightness and hope, once it promotes equal treatment and support in fighting against discrimination, helping this way to protect citizenship and human/children rights.

At the time of our foundation we had three main goals:

1. SOL House
   In order to cover aids children orphan hood 
    
2. SOL Apartments
   To support HIV positive mothers 
    
3. SOL for grandparents
   To overcome the biological family gap of these children, building microfamilies with grandparents and grandchildren. 
    

Although sol association intervention is spread all over the country from north to south, it is mainly in the metropolitan area of Lisbon that we act.
